| Samsung’s Nvidia ION powered 11.6” Samsung N510 netbook went on sale late last year, showing up in Europe and the UK a couple of months earlier than it did in the US. Even before turning up in the US, reports came in on the SammyNetbook forums about the hinges breaking. A total of 13 people have reported broken hinges to date and one with a large batch of N510’s had 7 out of 32 with broken hinges. Clearly this seems to be a design issue over coincidence. Some of those people have managed to sway Samsung with either a repair, refund or a replacement though it hasn’t been an easy task with Samsung denying the issue and putting the blame on the user in some cases. News Source: Netbooked |
